UNL student Union has seen plenty of upgrades since I graduated in 2011! Just visited the Union a few days ago.

Food court currently has Imperial Palace, Subway, Valentinos pizza, Steak ‘n shake, and a Chik-fil-A. Lots of food options for students and visitors.

Lots of outdoor space right in front of the Union for lounging, hammocks are hung for lazing between classes.

It's a nice place to study or get some food, although it's usually a bit crowded. There are a few fast food places including Imperial Palace, Steak N Shake, and more. There's also a Starbucks and downstairs is the bookstore and "Herbie's Market." Seating is good and my favorite spot is near the front where there's a fireplace and piano.

I haven't been there for a while. There are different areas to gather and to study. The book store is still there in the basement. On the main floor there are several fast food restaurants. The oddest thing I saw was several permanent posts with hammocks attached outside near the back of the building.
